Asbestos Contaminated Building Demolition

Regulations from the EPA and VTDOH require that all buildings be tested for asbestos prior to demolition. If asbestos is found, it must be removed (abated) prior to demolition as well.

Sometimes buildings are unsafe for inspection and/or abatement. This can be for many reasons, but usually due to being structurally unsafe. When a building is too unsafe to abate conventionally, the whole building must be packaged and shipped as if it was all asbestos (This is called Co-Mingled Waste).

There are many special steps that are required beyond what is necessary for a normal demolition, all of which we are experienced in. Complete Demolition will carry out your demolition, file all necessary paperwork, and coordinate an abatement contractor to be present during demolition.

If you have a building that fits one of these categories call David Shea at (802) 782-2409

  • Structurally unsafe (walls/floors/ceilings caving in) with no asbestos report yet

  • Structurally unsafe (walls/floors/ceilings caving in) with positive asbestos report

  • A building an asbestos inspector or abatement contactor told you was unsafe to work in

  • A building that has been condemned â€‹â€‹
